3 Reasons To Buy Long Range Walkie Talkies

So ladies and gentlemen, i have another outstanding communication devices mobile phone piece of writing for you to read, i know, you do not have to thank me each and every one, just add a social like to the piece to prove your appreciation.

Did you ever think that one could purchase long range walkie talkies and improve their life? Many people have already done that. Most are still dreaming and have never gotten started. Many get tangled up in the doubts and negatives regarding the real need for this communications tool, so much so they never get to enjoy the positives of using these handheld devices out in the great outdoors.

O.K. now, wait up a minute. While some may be concerned with the negatives, let’s look to the positive side and consider 3 explanations why you should purchase long range walkie talkies before your next adventure outdoors.

Firstly, in its favor, allow me to point out that purchasing and using a set of high quality walkie talkies when you are outside can help your family stay in touch with one another when out enjoying a day in the forest. Sure, I am aware of your objection that you may have tried walkie talkies in the past that had poor range and reception. What you say is true, I agree, however you get what you pay for. The next time you buy a walkie talkie headset or handheld unit, spend the money to buy a more expensive brand. The cheap brands typically do not work as well as advertised.

Secondly, you truly should consider the fact that a nominal investment in small hand-held websites may help one of your loved ones to keep from getting lost in the wilderness. Little people are notorious for wandering off, and in the mountains this can be fatal.. And, also, your little ones will have a great time playing with the radios…it makes them feel like spies or army men Plus, better still, the big kids (read adults) will enjoy them just as much, walkie talkies bring out the kid in all of us.

Third, you will get the ability to effectively track you kids in the neighborhood. Which means that you spend much less time concerned about their safety and whereabouts because you can just raise them on the walkie. And in addition to that, you can use these handheld devices in the place of cell phones and save money…no monthly subscription needed!

Within all of the above info lies a pretty good list of reasons in support of purchasing long range walkie talkies. What is your opinion?

Think this through seriously for just a moment. Maybe you really should purchase long range walkie talkies and make your life easier.

Satellite Radio Receiver

What would you know, this website About keyword is definitely interesting, i trust you enjoy it

Satellite Radio Receivers – The Best of the BestSatellite Radio is the new way to do radio. It has high-quality sound and over 100 different stations-or channels of music and entertainment. Satellite radio comes, as the name entails, from satellites. The two companies that offer satellite radio-XM and Sirius, have Earth-based stations that send information up to the satellites, where they are then sent back down all around the world. From there it’s sent to you in your receiver, where your receiver decodes the information and plays your entertainment. But which receiver should you choose?

After you choose which Satellite Motorola radio company to go with, you need to choose a portable receiver.

See all 6 photos Audiovox XMCK30PXM Xpress-RC See all 6 photos Jensen Jam Pack Portable Receiver XMXM has the Audiovox XMCK30PXM Xpress-RC satellite radio receiver. It can plug into your car, then plug it into your boom-box at work then to your home docking system when you get home (boom-box and home docking system required, obviously), so you can never be without your 100+ streaming radio stations. In addition to hours of entertainment the system offers a clock, alarm, program alert and sleep timer.

If you’re a Sirius radio subscriber, there is the Jensen Jam Pack Portable Receiver. Audiovox owns Jensen, so the products are practically the same, and are adaptable to the same boom boxes and home docking systems. The Audiovox receiver is about twice as heavy (at 8 pounds, compared to the Jensen’s 4.1 pounds) and has several added features. With the XM version you can pause and play up to 60 minutes of programming, it can show you what 4 different channels are playing simultaneously, and can alert you when your favorite songs are being played on a station you’re not already listening to. The Audiovox runs for just under $135 on Amazon.com.

Not only is it totally sleek and modern in it’s gun-metal finish, it has more features than you could ever figure out in a day. It can save up to 30 stations and can pause, rewind, replay up to 60 minutes. The Sportster caters to the sports fan (hence the name)-It alerts you when your favorite teams are playing on another station, and you can search through teams from various sports leagues- NFL, NBA, NHL, college sports, etc-instead of flipping through channels trying to find the game you want. But even if you did have to flip through stations, the 30 preset station option makes that as easy as clicking a single button. But if sports aren’t your thing, the SIRIUS Sportster 5 gives great sound quality for all your favorite jams. The $140 is definitely worth the hours of entertainment you’ll get from it in your home, office, car, boat or where ever else you have adaptable speakers.

Boom-boxes and Home Docking Systems

Now in order to play that portable satellite radio receiver anywhere besides through your car speakers, you’ll need a boom-box and/or home docking system or two.

SiriusNow that I’ve talked about the small and sleek and inexpensive, I’m going to rave about the Sirius SUB-X1 Universal Plug ‘n’ Play. It’s only a little bigger at 9.6 x 21.8 x 9.8 inches, but it has quite the presence-it has an old school boom-box-inspired look, handle and all. It even has a battery power option, so now you can walk down the street with music from 1991 playing on your shoulder with the sound quality of 2009. Only with this one you can’t get the bass pumping-it has no bass or treble adjusting option. It’s compatible with Sirius Sportser, Starmate and Stratus portable satellite radio receivers. If the $310 tag is out of your price range, the $130 Sirius Soloist Universal Sound System may be something you could want. It has a tall, wide, flat speaker that gives it not only a gorgeous modern look, but a gorgeous, modern sound as well. It is compatible with Sportster 3 and 4, but not the Sportster 5 we were talking about earlier. It also works with some Stiletto, Stratus and Starmate receivers and your iPod. The detachable antenna is best placed on the roof (as should other waterproof satellite radio receiver antennas) and five built-in equalization settings, among other fun things.

With the subscriptions, installation fees and not to mention the systems and other gear, the price of switching from your free AM/FM radio can add up quickly. But once you browse through the stations and listen to the sound difference, you won’t regret it. Heck, even Howard Stern switched over years ago, it’s time you did too.

Ohio district deploys SchoolSAFE solution invented by Motorola dealer

So i found this article on the internet and i was told that just posting it like a whole piece is not the best thing, I got permission from the original author and read up the way to curate articles, so that is it…….i thought this was fascinating because it highlights some of the highs and lows that I encountered when i was working inside the industry.

Chardon Local Schools personnel in northeast Ohio can use their MOTOTRBO radios to speak directly to first responders on a P25 network, thanks to the recent installation of the SchoolSAFE bridge link that was created by a Motorola Solutions dealer in Colorado.

While Motorola Solutions’ ASTRO 25 P25 networks are designed to meet the stringent requirements of public-safety communications, school districts are more inclined to use more-affordable MOTOTRBO radios for daily use, said Patrick Gray, Motorola Solutions’ director of North America channel operations and development.

However, during an emergency, school personnel wanted to be able to communicate directly with first responders that were being dispatched to the scene, instead of having information passed through multiple people—a common occurrence, according to Michael Hanlon, superintendent of Chardon Local Schools.

“Typically, on site, we had a limited number of lower-grade walkie-talkies that were just talking to each other,” Hanlon said during an interview with IWCE’s Urgent Communications. “That information would somehow get to someone—in the school office, presumably—who would make a 911 call. Then, first responders would be reporting to the school or to the scene, and all of that information would flow through whoever might be on the phone with them at the time … but not someone who had firsthand knowledge of the incident.”

Colorado-based QDS Communication—a 13-employee dealer for Motorola Solutions—developed the SchoolSAFE solution that lets a 911 dispatcher activate a bridge between the MOTOTRBO system at a school and the P25 public-safety network, Gray said. The QDS solution has two major components: (1) a “technology tower” that houses a MOTOTRBO and an ASTRO 25 Walkie Talkie that are linked together to create the potential for a communications bridge, and (2) software housed at the 911 center that enables a dispatcher to activate the bridge, if warranted.

“The software that does the bridging technology actually resides at the 911 dispatch center, so the 911 dispatchers are in complete control of turning the bridge on or off,” Gray said during an interview with IWCE’s Urgent Communications.

Hanlon said school-district personnel have embraced the SchoolSAFE concept, which the district plans to incorporate in emergency-incident drills in the future. In addition, the school district is gaining practical experience with the system in situations that tend to happen in a school environment, with Hanlon providing a hypothetical scenario of a student suffering a broken arm in gym class.

“Now, that [school-district] first responder on the scene can be relating exactly what’s happening with the student [in discussions with public-safety personnel],” Hanlon said. “Is this a compound fracture that we’re dealing with? Is the child unconscious? We can be controlling the flow of information much more accurately than having a secretary in the office say, ‘All I know is that somebody’s hurt in the gym.’”

QDS Communications has deployed the solution in about 200 facilities near its Colorado locations, but officials for Motorola Solutions wanted to learn what it would take to install the system in another part of the country. The 10-school Chardon Local Schools was selected, and SchoolSAFE was deployed at no cost to the district.

“It’s a pilot, not in terms of the technology but in terms of Motorola understanding what needs to be wrapped around this solution to implement it—the training and so on—so that we could help QDS package this up, so that we could provide it to our dealer channel,” Gray said. “That was the entire intent here.”

While the current SchoolSAFE solution provides a communication bridge between P25 and MOTOTRBO networks, Motorola Solutions’ recent acquisition of Twisted Pair could allow an expanded method of interoperability in the future, Gray said.

“Now, with the acquisition of Twisted Pair—and we’ve talked about this with Chardon—you can actually take an Android or an Apple cell phone and put it in this same environment,” he said.

Gray said the SchoolSAFE solution will be featured at the Motorola Solutions Channel Partner Expo that will be conducted in Las Vegas on the eve of the IWCE 2014 exhibit hall opening.

Motorola pitches 2 Way Radios to safety officials

Some of these professional writers on the net are at such a high level that i ponder if any of them have ever created a paperback? well sometimes i like to spotlight these excellent items and here’s one i found interesting the other day.

Fire Chief Greg DeLor knows just the kind of radio he wants his department to have when the E-911 consolidation is complete.

The radio works underwater, can filter out sounds such as the roar of a fire engine, is more durable than their current web sites, he said, dropping the demonstration model on the floor with a thud.

“I would not be doing that with the radio I have now. It would be ruined,” DeLor said.

DeLor was among the more than 100 first responders and officials from most of the 36 departments in Lake County who will come under the umbrella of the consolidated E-911 center who attended a demonstration Monday of radio equipment offered by Motorola Solutions.

Motorola was selected to provide the infrastructure for the state-mandated consolidation of the county’s 17 dispatch centers into one center by Dec. 31. It’s also one of three companies vying to sell its radios for police and fire departments, with the others being Harris and EF Johnson.

Under the consolidation, each city and town must supply and pay for the radios its emergency personnel use. Each municipality may choose its radios from the vendor of their choice, providing the radios can communicate with the Motorola infrastructure.

Frank Galvin, of Motorola Solutions, said the company decided to host the event at St. Elijah Church in Merrillville to give police and fire officials a chance to get a close look at the variety of radios available as well as accessories and programming options.

Jim Lilley, Merrillville’s deputy fire chief, said he liked the opportunity to see the equipment and ask questions.

“It was a good demonstration. It was nice to actually see stuff used hands-on,” Lilley said.

One demonstration showed how a two Way Radio that had part of its housing peeled off could still work while under water, even for an extended period of time. Another used a running Crown Point fire truck to show how the radio filters out background noise.

Galvin said the demonstration gives officials a chance to see what’s available and how the radios can grow with their departments.

“Everything doesn’t have to happen today. There is so much technology that can be active as needed,” he said.

Meena Radio A new reason to go to school!

You can be safe in the wisdom that I bring the very best communication jamming device posts, a number of which are my very own a few of which are curated by me, if i choose to use somebody elses writing it’s because it’s appropriate to my readership, so feel confident that you are reading the very best from my industry.

PATNA: It’s a chilly winter day at Bhallui village, but a kindly sunshine bathes the campus of the Government Upgraded Middle School where, in front of the building, a group of kids in white caps are seated on the ground. In front of them sits a teacher, with a radio prominently displayed, its volume turned up. The kids are nodding their heads to a catchy tune playing on the radio. The ‘Meena ki Duniya’ programme is in session.

The Meena Radio session is in progress, starting as always, at 10:30am. The radio programme ends and the teacher facilitator, Abha Kumari, starts a discussion on the goodness of fresh vegetables, the topic of the 15-minute broadcast. Being the facilitator, she has already listened to the episode the previous day, by means of the flash drive inserted into the set. The children – sixth, seventh and eighth graders – interact with her and each other in an animated way.

Across 45 middle schools in the Rajapakar block of Vaishali, UNICEF is facilitating educational entertainment via podcast – successfully piloted in Uttar Pradesh in 2011, where the broadcast reached all schools through a tie-up with All India Radio.

‘Meena Radio’, as the ‘Meena ki Duniya’ Radio magazine series is affectionately called, is delivered to the schools within Rajapakar block by means of a radio set that can read audio files through a flash drive. The radio set and a flash drive loaded with the 160 episodes have been made available to the target schools. The schools turn on the radio at the designated time: 10:30am, so that a uniformity is maintained. Students from classes 6, 7 and 8 gather at one place to listen to the programme. The designated teacher-facilitator conducts the session. After the episode is over, the teacher initiates a discussion on the topics raised. The entire session takes about half an hour.

“The session is the highlight of the school day for these children,” says Abha. “Ever since the Meena radio programme started, attendance has improved. The children from the other classes also want to listen to the programme. So, once in a while during the lunch-break, we do repeat one of the episodes as a special treat. The kids sit down very attentively and listen.”

“Meena Radio tells us that boys and girls are equal. It also says that girls should be allowed to study. But I think it’s keeping clean and washing hands that are most important,” seventh grader Chandan Kumar reflects.

So, what do they hear on Meena Radio? “Stories! Songs! Jokes! Games! To keep your school clean! All girls should study at least till high school! Don’t do toilet in the open! Use the rest room,” shout the kids in turn.

Nidhi Kumari, a seventh grader says, “Bal Sansad and Meena Manch children have made a promise to parents to get toilets built at home.” In fact, in the past one month, three students proudly announced that their parents built toilets using the benefits of a government sanitation scheme. (Meena Manch is a girls’ activity group, and Bal Sansad is the student council in all government middle schools across Bihar.)

The use of soap for hand-washing has increased across all upper primary schools accessing the programme. Upendra Prasad, a teacher stated, “The demand came from the children. They asked for soap for hand-washing. And all the children use the soap!” Now the school administration makes sure that soap is purchased, an item on the school budget that would be ignored previously.

“Kids are a powerful pressure group,” says CRCC Amodanand. “Meena has become a role model, especially for girls, and the daily dose of Meena’s adventures gives them a high level of motivation. Positive changes have been happening just because the kids have got a better self-image, and the teachers are paying more attention to the children’s needs. In a sneaky way, Meena Radio also provides role models for the teachers as well. If Meena’s teacher is so understanding, why not is Munni’s teacher?”

The popularity of the Meena Radio episodes among school children has spread to their parents and neighbourhood as well.

Chandrakeshwar Kumar, a Vikas Mitra from Bakarpur panchayat demands that ‘Meena ki Duniya’ be made available for use as a communication tool during village meetings. The women folk were especially interested in listening to Meena Radio having heard about it from their school-going children. Having listened to an episode of Meena Ki Duniya, he appreciated its value as an icebreaker that could be used as a warm-up to community meetings.

‘Radio Rimjhim’: a community radio service set up in Gopalganj district, started ‘Meena ki Duniya’ broadcasts from December 16 last year in collaboration with Bihar Education Project Council, Information and Public Relations Department, and UNICEF. The broadcasts, however, were discontinued after a few days because of ‘technical reasons’.

Meena ki Duniya, with its simple and entertaining format advocating healthy habits such as eating green vegetables, nutritious food, hands-washing, etc, has the potential to reach out to radio listeners of all ages, and promoting maternal and child health, sanitation, and healthy habits.

BearCom Advises Restaurants on the Use of Walkie Talkies to Improve Service and Operations

What would you know, this site About keyword is definitely interesting, i hope you enjoy it

BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, today detailed how restaurants can use radios to streamline operations and enhance the guest experience.
“Instant communications help restaurants provide consistently high levels of service even when short staffed or extremely busy,” said Hugh Johnston, Product & Purchasing Manager at BearCom. “Two-way radios help speed food delivery, response to guest requests, and management resolution of food and service issues.”
Two-way radios enhance operations and guest service across multiple functions in a restaurant setting:
Hosts: Two-way radios allow more efficient front-door management by instantly communicating open table status and information on waiting parties. Restaurants are able to seat guests faster, improving customer service, and turn more tables, increasing profits.
Kitchen Staff: Kitchen staff is able to notify expediters and servers when orders are ready, ensuring that food reaches the table in optimal condition, without baking under a heat lamp or growing cold. Managers and servers can be alerted to menu item shortages or items not available.
Servers: Servers can respond to guests’ needs more efficiently by communicating requests to the kitchen from the dining room floor. Management can be quickly notified of food and service issues.
Bartenders: Bartenders are able to communicate with cocktail and food servers instantly to receive drink orders, request clarifications of orders, and alert servers when a drink order is ready.
Management: A restaurant manager’s job is to bring calm productivity out of chaos. Two-way radios keep managers informed instantly of any service or food issues that require their attention. In addition, if there is a disruptive patron or medical emergency, precious seconds can be saved with faster communications.
Valets: For restaurants with valet service, two-way radios help improve speed of vehicle retrieval and coordinate stacked parking.
Kiley Efron, owner of Taverna in Jacksonville, Florida, recently implemented two-way radio communications in that restaurant and saw an immediate impact on efficiency. “We started using them for the host team and bartenders so we could communicate. When you really can’t see each other, that communication is so vital,” said Efron. Management soon learned the benefits of equipping servers with radios during crunch times. “On the days that we were short staffed, we put all the servers on [radios] to help out the management team and our ability to communicate and to troubleshoot. It made things so much easier.”
Johnston said two series of web pages from Motorola Solutions are especially well suited for restaurant employees. He listed the Motorola CLS1110 and Motorola CLS1410, as well as the CLP Series, which includes the Motorola CLP1010, Motorola CLP1040, and Motorola CLP1060. The CLP1060 is Bluetooth capable radio and comes equipped with a Bluetooth swivel earpiece preferred by some managers.
Motorola CLS Series portable radios are economical, compact, lightweight, and compatible with a variety of accessories. Simplified charging and cloning make CLS radios easy to manage, and they are so simple to use that little or no training is required.
Motorola CLP Series radios are even lighter and smaller. Their design integrates an earpiece, which makes for even more discreet communications. The CLP1010, CLP1040, and CLP1060 are very easy to use, as they integrate only the essential accessory elements. The CLP1040 is the model used in the Taverna restaurant.
In food service, instant communication can be the difference between mediocre service and excellent service. “It’s especially important in high-volume periods. Radios helped us take service to the next level,” Efron said.

MH370 Motorola cargo comprised walkie-talkies, besides batteries and chargers

Whilst many of our readers are interested in some of our own articles, here’s one i found surfing around blog it is far better written than I could ever dream to accomplish. Maybe one day I’ll get to this rank, you never know.

A two-tonne consignment aboard the ill-fated  MH370 flight is believed to comprise The two way radios, lithium ion batteries and their chargers.
The cargo manifest released in the preliminary report of the incident shows that the plane was carrying 200kg of the batteries while the balance is said to be “radio accessories and chargers”.
The revelation by Malaysia Airlines confirms a report by fz.com on March 25 that revealed that the shipper of the lithium ion batteries, walkie-talkies and chargers was Motorola.
Quoting a source at that time, fz.com reported that the goods were shipped from the factory’s facility in Penang.
The goods were sent by lorries to the KL International Airport, and based on the master air waybill, the items were sent from Penang on March 6.
Of the 2.4 tonnes that was shipped from the plant in Penang, only about 200kg comprised the batteries.
Though the cargo manifest and master air waybill indicated lithium ion batteries, it did not reveal that walkie-talkies made up the rest of the consignment.
MAS later said in a statement that they were “web site accessories and chargers”.
The air waybill prepared by NNR Global Logistics Sdn Bhd on behalf of its client, Motorola, showed that two loads were packed, one being 1,990kg for 133 pieces and another being 463kg for 67 pieces.
The batteries and accompanying goods were later shipped by NNR Global Logistics, while the balance divided into “13 packages”, were forwarded by Kerry Logistics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
The cargo manifest showed the plane carried 9,947kg in three large shipments.
While mangosteens from Muar, Johor weighed the heaviest at 4,566kg and the 2,453kg worth of lithium ion batteries and accompanying goods (written up only as “consolidated”) are more or less accounted for, the other 2,250kg of “consolidated” items have sparked interest.
A source familiar with aviation forwarding industry practices said the mystery surrounding the cargo manifest and the exact loads that went onto the ill-fated MH370 can only be resolved if MAS revealed the house air waybills.
The source added that without the house air waybill and the packing list, the cargo manifest and the master air waybill were redundant because only those two documents would properly state the goods and the shipper.
“It is understandable that MAS cannot reveal the other two documents simply because they may not have it.
“As for the house air waybill and packing list, the Customs Department, the freight forwarder and the shipper should come forward and reveal them,” he said.
Days after the Beijing-bound flight went missing along with 239 passengers and the crew on March 8, Malaysia Airlines chief executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said the plane was carrying 200kg of “small” lithium ion batteries.
He said the load was not considered hazardous as it was packaged in accordance to safety regulations.
In response, the aviation source said though the shipment contained batteries and declared as dangerous goods, they are within specified permissible levels.
“The dangerous threshold for lithium ion batteries is not measured by its weight but its watt per hour measurement. For instance, a handphone probably would measure 100 grams watt per hour which is not lethal.
“The watt per hour measurement indicates the battery activity by the hour,” he had said while cautioning that forwarding companies and shippers often failed to declare “hidden dangerous goods” in the shipment.
These include flammable liquids, lubricants, corrosive and oxidising materials that could and have resulted in fires onboard flights, he said.
